Snow Load Controversy

Ken Cranky, retired, asked whether the IRC retains snow load tables that would help align jurisdictional and manufacturer expectations. Barbara Rice confirmed: IRC has snow loads in tables and climate maps, but jurisdictions can amend. Amy Tresler said she would look up the exact spine-table language in the 2024 IRC.

Cost Considerations:

EV Charging and Fire Code Implications
Genevie presented EV appendix options: garages and parking lots can specify EV-capable (wiring only), EV-ready (outlet), or EV charger (full installation).
